The Lead Technical Artist is responsible for leading the technical art team and ensuring the quality and innovation of the production. The role involves being a reference for the team in technical art, providing solutions to complex problems, and optimizing content for improved memory and performance.
What you'll do
- Be a reference for the team in technical art and provide solutions to complex problems
- Optimize content for improved memory and performance
- Intervene in the development and rendering of assets (models, animations, textures) if necessary
What you need
- Experience as a Technical Artist, ideally on AAA or AA productions
- Strong technical skills in performance, optimization, and methodology
- Proficiency in at least one 3D modeling software (Blender, 3DS Max, Substance Designer, Maya etc.)
- Strong scripting skills (Maxscript, Python…)
- Experience with a game engine (Unreal Engine, Unity, proprietary engine etc.) and a good understanding of the artistic workflow and pipeline in a realistic style
- Strong understanding of world-building concepts and a strong sense of synthesis and relation
- Fluency in English
