About the Role

As a 3D Environment Artist at Valve Software, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D environments, including landscapes, buildings, and props, using a variety of software tools such as Maya, 3ds Max, and Substance Painter. You will work closely with the game's designers to ensure that each environment is designed to meet the game's vision and quality standards. You will also be responsible for creating textures, materials, and lighting effects to bring the environments to life.

Accountabilities

• Create high-quality 3D environments, including landscapes, buildings, and props, using a variety of software tools such as Maya, 3ds Max, and Substance Painter.
• Work closely with the game's designers to ensure that each environment is designed to meet the game's vision and quality standards.
• Create textures, materials, and lighting effects to bring the environments to life.
• Collaborate with other artists and designers to ensure that the game's environments are cohesive and consistent with the game's overall vision.

The Candidate we're looking for

Experience:

• 8 years of experience working as a 3D artist in the video game industry.

Technical skills:

• Proficient in using Maya, 3ds Max, and Substance Painter.
• Experience with texture painting, material creation, and lighting effects.
