Asobo Studio is a game development studio based in Bordeaux, France. We are looking for a Mid/Senior Narrative Designer to join our team.
Asobo Studio is a game development studio that has created 25 games for PC and consoles over 20 years, including well-known licenses, original games, and innovative creations. We are a team of over 300 collaborators working on Microsoft Flight Simulator, the A Plague Tale franchise, and HoloForge, our XR department.
Our infallible goal is to create exceptional, memorable interactive experiences for our players. To achieve this, we are looking for a Mid/Senior Narrative Designer to join our team.
As a Mid/Senior Narrative Designer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing the narrative experience on multiple levels of our new project. You will work closely with the Level Designer, Level Artist, and Level Builder to ensure a cohesive and engaging narrative experience.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement the narrative experience on multiple levels
- Collaborate with the Level Designer, Level Artist, and Level Builder to ensure a cohesive and engaging narrative experience
- Work with the writers to iterate on dialogue and scene design
- Ensure the narrative experience is consistent with the game's overall story and tone
Requirements:
- 4 years of experience in game development, preferably in a narrative design role
- Proficiency in a scripting language
- Experience with integrating narrative elements into a game engine
- Strong understanding of narrative design principles and game development pipelines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Unreal Engine or Unity
- Knowledge of game development pipelines and tools
- Strong understanding of game design principles and mechanics
