F1 25 is one of the fussier sims to get FFB right on. Modern Formula 1 cars generate huge aero load and the game translates that hard through the wheel – too much in-game strength and you clip the signal into silence, too little damping and the wheel oscillates on the straights. Below are the 2026 community-consensus baseline settings for every major sim racing wheel brand – Fanatec, Moza, Simagic, Simucube, Logitech and Thrustmaster – with the in-game side too. Use these as your start point and adjust to taste.

Why F1 25 is fussy about FFB
F1 25’s physics put a lot through the wheel – more aero, more grip, more downforce than any GT sim. Run too much in-game strength on top of high software strength and you’ll clip the signal: the FFB saturates flat at maximum and you stop feeling the difference between a light load and a heavy one. That’s why the universal pattern in the settings below is “high in the wheelbase software, lower in-game” – it gives the wheel the headroom to actually communicate.
The other thing to know: direct drive wheels in particular tend to oscillate on the straights in F1 25 if your damping is too low. The community fix is to handle damping in your wheelbase software (Fanalab, Pit House, SimPro Manager, TrueDrive) rather than in-game, and to keep the in-game Wheel Damper low. Fanatec settings for F1 25
Covers the CSL DD (5 and 8Nm), ClubSport DD (12Nm), ClubSport DD+ (15/18Nm) and the Podium DD1/DD2. Settings are entered in Fanalab on PC, or directly in the on-wheel tuning menu on console. The pattern with Fanatec for F1 25 is to keep the Fanalab FFB high but pull the in-game strength back as you climb the torque range – the bigger the base, the more headroom you need.

Moza settings for F1 25
Covers the R5, R9, R12, R16 and R21 bases via Pit House. Moza’s FFB Effects Equalizer gives you per-frequency control that the other brands don’t have – but for F1 25, you don’t need to dive that deep. The headline pattern is high FFB intensity on the smaller bases, lower percentages as you go up in torque, plus a chunk of Natural Inertia to stop the wheel feeling hyperactive on turn-in. Simagic settings for F1 25
Covers the Alpha Mini, Alpha and Alpha U via SimPro Manager. Simagic’s software is refreshingly stripped back compared to Fanalab – three sliders you’ll actually touch. For F1 25, keep the strength scaled to your base’s torque, the road sensitivity low (the game’s static can rattle the rim otherwise), and let the sim do most of the work.

Simucube settings for F1 25
Covers the SC2 Pro and Simucube 2 Ultimate via TrueDrive. F1 25 is built around consumer gear, so on a high-end Simucube you don’t need monster output – 10 to 12Nm of effective torque is plenty for an F1 car. Logitech settings for F1 25
Covers the gear-driven G29/G920/G923 and the direct drive Logitech G PRO and RS50. The two groups need very different in-game settings – the gear wheels want a lot more strength to overcome their internal friction, the DD wheels behave more like the others on this page. On the G923, the TrueForce Audio setting is the additional one to know about – higher values give you the engine and surface vibrations through the rim. Thrustmaster settings for F1 25
Covers the belt-driven T300 (and TX) and the direct drive T818, both via the Thrustmaster Control Panel. Thrustmaster’s approach to F1 25 is to let the game do the FFB work with minimal driver-side processing – leave Spring and Damper at 100, Boost off, and tune strength in-game.

Common mistakes in F1 25
- Cranking in-game FFB strength to 100. F1 25’s downforce model maxes out the signal long before then. You’ll feel huge weight on the straights and nothing in the corners. Drop it until you can feel the load change between a slow and a fast corner.
- Leaving Understeer Enhance ON. It makes the wheel go artificially limp to “warn” you about understeer, but it actually masks the real road feel. Universal community consensus: Off.
- Centre Spring on in your wheelbase software. F1 25 handles self-centring itself. A software spring fights the game’s own physics and makes the wheel feel synthetic.
- Stacking damping in both layers. Damping in the wheelbase software AND a high in-game Wheel Damper feels like steering through glue. Pick one – the consensus is to do it in the software.
- Mismatched rotation. The F1 25 sweet spot is exactly 360 degrees. If your wheelbase is set to 900 and the in-game rotation is left at default, the steering ratio is all over the place.
- Default Rumble Strip Effects. The default is really too harsh – it rattles the rim. Drop it to around 30 (Fanatec) or 20 (most others).
These are baselines. The right numbers for you depend on your wheel rim weight, how much detail you like versus how much filter you can tolerate, and whether you’re chasing fast lap times or just racing for fun. Start here, race a few sessions, then adjust one setting at a time.
