Assetto Corsa Competizione models the full GT3 steering rack, tie rods, caster and scrub radius. That’s why it feels heavier and more mechanically Ford-like than the original AC, and why the per-brand settings have to be tuned differently. The big trap: ACC’s Road Effects slider amplifies real suspension telemetry, not canned rumble, so it should run HIGH (the opposite of AC). This is the per-brand baseline for every major wheelbase, current to 2026.

How ACC force feedback works
ACC’s FFB does not feed you raw tyre scrub. It feeds you the steering column. The physics engine models the steering geometry of each GT3 car – the rack, tie rods, caster, scrub – and what you feel is the result of those forces translated through to your hands. That’s why ACC feels heavier and more mechanical than the original Assetto Corsa, and why the per-brand setup recipe is different.
Road Effects in ACC at 100% is correct. It’s not the canned vibration layer it was in AC. ACC’s Road Effects slider amplifies actual high-frequency suspension and tyre telemetry from the physics engine. Turning it off (the right call in AC) strips away genuine track-surface feel in ACC.
Dynamic Damping is the smart slider. It adds steering weight that scales with speed: low at zero, high at 150 mph. 100% is the physically accurate value and the right starting point on entry-level direct drive bases. On high-torque 15-25Nm bases, drop to 40-80% if your base software is already applying its own damping, otherwise the two stack and the wheel feels muddy.
FFB Frequency controls the polling rate at which ACC sends telemetry over USB. ACC’s physics run at 400Hz. Modern direct drive bases (Fanatec CSL DD upwards, Moza, Simagic, Simucube, Asetek) handle 400Hz cleanly. Older belt-drive USB controllers – the T300, original CSL Elite – want 333Hz instead.
Steer Lock per car is ACC’s other quirk. Every GT3 has a different real-world steering rack (McLaren 720S = 480°, Ferrari 296 = 800°, Porsche 992 = 800°). Hard-coding your base to 540° means 80% of the grid feels wrong. Set both your wheelbase software AND ACC in-game to 900° or 1080°. ACC will soft-lock per car automatically. Don’t touch it again.

Fanatec settings for ACC
Maurice Böschen’s Fanalab ACC profiles are the gold standard on the Fanatec forum. The key call: FFS on Peak for the CSL DD, Linear on the ClubSport DD, DD+ and Podium bases. Drive the Tuning Menu at 100% FF and scale weight via ACC’s in-game Gain.

The single biggest improvement for any Fanatec ACC user: open the in-game FFB telemetry widget (bottom right, grey bar). Drive Eau Rouge or Pouhon flat. If the bar turns red, you’re clipping. Moza settings for ACC
Moza in ACC needs more Wheel Damper than other sims to tame straight-line oscillation, especially on the higher-torque R12 to R21. The Pit House FFB Filter at 6 smooths the high-frequency end without losing detail, and FFB EQ stays Flat – ACC’s signal is already shaped correctly.

The Moza R5 in ACC will clip on heavy GT3 corner loads at 95% Gain – that’s inherent to a 5.5Nm base running ACC. The fix is either accepting the clip on the biggest corners or stepping up to a higher-torque base. See our Moza buyer’s guide for the full lineup.

Simagic settings for ACC
Simagic in ACC has one critical SimPro Manager call: FFB Detail to 0. Leave it on default and the wheel droops with a high-frequency droning buzz on straights that masks the real signal. Set it to 0, let ACC handle telemetry natively, then add a small amount of Mechanical Friction (5-10) to put real centre weight in.

Simucube settings for ACC
Simucube in ACC is the FFB purist’s setup. Overall Strength 100% in TrueDrive, Reconstruction Filter 1-3 (the 3 setting smooths the rubber-feel without softening detail), in-game Gain dialled right back to 25-50% to scale to your specific base’s headroom. Push FFB Frequency to 444Hz – the SC2 USB controller handles it cleanly.

Logitech settings for ACC
Logitech splits cleanly in ACC the same way it does in AC and iRacing. G29, G920 and G923 are gear or belt drive with a mechanical centre deadzone – they need Min Force 10-15% (or a custom LUT placed in the ACC config folder for the linearised fix). The newer DD G PRO (11Nm) and RS50 (8Nm) follow direct drive rules: Min Force 0, in-game Gain scaled down to suit the torque. TrueForce stays on at 40-50% for engine and ABS injection.

Thrustmaster settings for ACC
The T300 RS in ACC suffers the same thermal-fade trap as in iRacing – run TM Control Panel Overall Strength at 100% and the motor cooks after 30 minutes, FFB drops by half, you blame the game. The fix is two-fold: cap Overall at 75%, and force the internal fan to stay on (hold Mode + Start until the red light flashes twice). The T818 DD doesn’t have the issue – all sliders at 100, Mode Performance or Extreme.

Common mistakes in ACC wheel settings
- Running Gain at 100% without checking the in-game FFB telemetry widget. The grey bar in the bottom-right corner turns red when you clip. Drive Eau Rouge or Pouhon. If it goes red, drop Gain 5% until it stays grey.
- Min Force above 0% on a direct drive. Causes robotic centre oscillation on straights. Hard 0% for any DD base.
- Min Force at 0% on a Logitech G29, G920, G923 or Thrustmaster T300. The centre feels dead. Raise it in 2% steps to 10-15% (or use a custom LUT).
- Road Effects at 0% because you read an old AC guide. ACC’s Road Effects is real suspension telemetry, not canned vibration. Run it at 100% to keep the surface feel.
- Dynamic Damping at 0% or 100% without thought. Zero feels twitchy and light at speed. 100% with the base software’s damper also high stacks into mud. Sweet spot is 40-80% on high-end bases, 60-100% on entry DDs.
- Hard-coding wheelbase rotation across cars. Each GT3 has its own steer lock. Set both Pit House / Fanalab / SimPro Manager AND ACC to 900-1080 and let ACC soft-lock per car.
- T300 thermal fade. Overall Strength at 100% cooks the motor after half an hour. Cap at 75% and force the fan on.
