F1 24 runs the same EGO Engine FFB stack as F1 22, F1 23 and F1 25. The per-brand wheel settings transfer cleanly across the entire generation. The downforce-heavy physics still want the wheelbase software at 100% torque with the in-game Vibration & FFB Strength dialled back to 60-80% on direct drive bases to avoid clipping. Understeer Enhance OFF. Centre Spring OFF on DD, ON for the older Logitech G29/G920/G923 and the Thrustmaster T300. This is the per-brand baseline for every major wheelbase, current to 2026.

Why F1 24 is fussy about FFB
F1 24 sits in the middle of the EGO Engine generation (F1 22 through F1 25), and the FFB behaviour is the same across all four titles. The downforce builds quickly through the Esses at Suzuka, Pouhon at Spa and Copse at Silverstone, and the in-game FFB output clips just as quickly if you’ve left the Vibration & FFB Strength at 100% on a high-torque DD. The fix is universal: drive the wheelbase software at 100% torque and dial the in-game Strength back to suit your base. A 25Nm Podium DD2 needs more reduction than a 5Nm CSL DD.
Three F1-game traps to know. Understeer Enhance is a gamepad assist – leave it OFF on any wheel. Centre Spring should be OFF on any direct drive base and ON at 20-30% for the G29/G920/G923 and T300 (which can’t naturally rotate back to centre quickly enough through chicanes). Steering Linearity stays at 0 universally.
For the wider picture see the direct drive wheel settings hub. The companion pages are F1 25 wheel settings and F1 23 wheel settings – same EGO engine, same values transfer.
Fanatec settings for F1 24
Fanatec on F1 24 follows the Fanatec official recommended-settings thread. FFS on Peak (CSL DD) or Linear (CS DD+ upwards) gives the EGO engine the dynamic range it needs. NDP at 25 on the CSL DD tames straight-line oscillation; on ClubSport DD upwards, drop to 15.
| Setting | CSL DD (5/8Nm) | CS DD (12Nm) | CS DD+ (15Nm) | DD1 (20Nm) | DD2 (25Nm) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SEN | Auto / 360° | Auto / 360° | Auto / 360° | Auto / 360° | Auto / 360° |
| FF | 100 | 100 | 100 | 100 | 100 |
| FFS | Peak | Peak | Peak | Peak | Peak |
| NDP | 25 | 15 | 15 | 15 | 15 |
| NFR / NIN | Off | Off | Off | Off | Off |
| INT | 3 | 3 | 3 | 3 | 3 |
| FEI | 100 | 100 | 100 | 100 | 100 |
In-game F1 24 (all Fanatec bases): Vibration & FFB Strength 60-80% (CSL DD 5Nm = 80, CSL DD 8Nm = 75, CS DD = 70, CS DD+ = 65, DD1 = 65, DD2 = 60). On Track Effects 20-25, Rumble Strip Effects 30-35, Off Track Effects 15-20, Wheel Damper 0-2, Understeer Enhance OFF, Centre Spring OFF, Steering Linearity 0.

Simagic settings for F1 24
Simagic on F1 24 needs Wheel Return Speed at 10-15 to stop the wheel snapping unrealistically through chicanes. Otherwise SimPro Manager defaults plus mild Friction and Damper work fine.

Simucube settings for F1 24
Simucube on F1 24: Strength 100% in TrueDrive, low Reconstruction Filter, in-game Strength dropped aggressively (50-55% on the Ultimate). Without that drop the SC2 Ultimate clips immediately on Suzuka downforce loads.

Common mistakes in F1 24 wheel settings
- Vibration & FFB Strength at 100% on a high-torque DD. You’ll clip on Suzuka and Pouhon and feel a wall of force rather than the car. Drop to 60-70% on 15Nm+ bases.
- Understeer Enhance ticked. Gamepad assist. Buries the real FFB. OFF.
- Centre Spring on a DD. Causes robotic centre vibration. OFF for all DDs. ON at 20-30% only for G29/G920/G923 and T300.
- T300 running 100% Overall Strength. 30-minute stints cook the motor and the FFB fades by half. Cap at 75% and force the fan on.
- Steering Linearity above 0. Introduces a non-linear response that ruins chicane inputs. Keep at 0.
- Fixed Steering Angle below 360°. F1 cars use 360-540° in real life. Set base to 360° or 900° with soft-lock.
If you’re running F1 25 or F1 23, the values transfer cleanly – same EGO engine, same calls. The differences across the F1 22-25 generation are tiny enough that one set of per-brand settings works for the lot. The DD wheel settings hub is the parent, and the companion pages are F1 25 wheel settings and F1 23 wheel settings.
